Outer Space and Inner Space

This month will mark 54 years since the first moon landing which eventually led to our furthest manned mission into outer space, the Apollo 13 mission, which reached a distance of 248,655 miles from Earth.

This past week we witnessed another private industry space flight. This one was the first from Virgin Galactic and has opened the door for private citizens to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to travel into space on their spacecraft.

While I do enjoy outer space exploration, we must remember the importance of exploring the inner space of our minds.

It is something that is not going to get as much news coverage, but the personal growth and freedom we can attain from the different practices that facilitate such journeys is priceless and maybe what the world needs to find peace within ourselves and with each other.

What practices do you enjoy?

I dabble with different techniques from time to time, but I know I can always go back to counting my breaths, contemplating gratitude, or doing specific techniques I learned through my Reiki studies. Nothing beats taking the time to check in with what's going on "under the hood" and making adjustments as needed to maintain our natural state of happiness.

As you enjoy the upcoming 4th of July holiday, I hope you take time to explore the freedom that you have inside of yourself at any moment through a couple conscious breaths.
